Initial Consultation and Treatment..........£42

The first consultation with an osteopath involves a full case history to determine your suitability for treatment. An examination follows where you will be put through a series of movements tests.

The osteopath will then use a highly developed sense of touch called palpation to identify areas of weakness or stress.

When a full diagnosis has been made the osteopath will explain the problem and if both parties are happy the osteopath will suggest a treatment plan. Some treatment will normally commence on the initial consultation.

If the osteopath has any reservations they may request further investigations from your GP such as x-rays or blood tests.

In conjunction with treatment your osteopath will be able to offer advice on your posture, the ergonomics of offices and cars and suitable exercises.
